A system modeller currently facilitating communication and information flow amongst various stakeholders by using model-based system engineering (MBSE) in the automotive industry. Previously, I improved on a generalised modelling framework for multi-energy systems, which helped me earn my doctorate. My main contributions were on aggregating successive electric vehicle charge/discharge operations and adapting the framework to account for uncertain generation and demand energy sources.

I firmly believe in using systemic thinking to address both professional and personal issues, as well as in creating resilient, change-adaptive systems.

Key Achievements:

  • Developed and implemented a regenerative braking system based on non-linear model predictive control and collaborated with colleagues and key stakeholder, BSA limited, to define constraints that ensure regenerative braking maximises recovered energy while considering the safety of electric motor and battery, and driver's comfort.
  • Built and commissioned a thermal management system based on non-linear model predictive control for a 440V thermal rig for a commercial electric van using MATLAB/Simulink and Vector real-time system. In addition, analysed different optimisation strategies using different objective functions to achieve minimal energy consumed by the thermal rig's compressor based on the requirements of the stakeholders involved in the project.

Key Achievements:

  • Modified and improved a multi-energy system modelling framework by extending it's functionality to aggregate successive electric vehicle charge/discharge operation without restriction on a fixed number of vehicles, and optimised a systematic approach to coordinate the storage capacity of electric vehicles considering uncertainties of their characteristics, availabilities and charging preferences.
  • Adapted a novel generalized control-oriented modelling framework for multi-energy systems to consider uncertain generation and demand sources. In addition, developed and analysed the performance of deterministic and stochastic energy management schemes based on model predictive control to counter uncertainties related to electric vehicles as well as other generation and demand sources.

  • Secured the contract for the improvement and expansion of services provided by Mio Conferencing Solutions based in the UK.
  • Created the layout for a talk therapy platform, Cogno-Aid, that enabled registered users to access psychotherapy services from licensed psychotherapists in Nigeria.
  • Established steps for screening practising therapists and psychologists to be employed by a talk therapy company in Nigeria, as no database exists that could be referred to when assessing applicants.

  • Worked in a team of 11 engineers in setting up local area networks, subsequently providing maintenance support, for several Government Ministries in Nigeria.

  • Delivered real-time support to staff in the Federal Secretariat building and monitored internet supply within to be alerted of any failures.
